Video of the debate about Balady and belly dancing

In September 2014, the documentary Balady was screened at an event celebrating belly dancing in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The film looks at gender roles in differing cultures through this type of dancing, After the film, a debate was held on the issues it raises and on the values surrounding belly dancing as an expression of women's empowerment. Chair of Interarts Eduard Miralles took part in the debate, which is now available to watch online (at the link below). The foundation is co-producer of the documentary, along with Hassala Films, Cairo. Balady is a film by Donia Maher and Emilie Vidal, as part of the Tandem/Shaml programme.
